You and your class members will take on the role of script writers for an audio version of the television interview series This is your life which celebrates the life and achievements of an individual. During the show, guests share their opinions and memories of that person.

The subject for your script will be Australian First World War correspondent and historian Charles Bean.

To complete the task you will:

  1. research aspects of Bean’s writing

  2. study sources to provide answers for questions that will inform the script for the audio version of This is your life—Charles Bean

  3. view a clip from This is Your Life—Adam Gilchrist (YouTube video)

  4. write the script for This is your life—Charles Bean

  5. assign the roles in the script to class members

  6. produce a radio broadcast based on your script using an application such as Audacity.
