Licensing

Anyone who wishes to keep native animals in captivity in NSW must be licensed to do so by the NSW Office of Environment and Heritage. The Schools Animal Care and Ethics Committee have negotiated a special licence for schools wishing to keep native animals. Please note that this licence is for keeping native animals only and does not allow schools to breed and sell the animals. Details of this licence are available on the Animals in Schools website.
