Communication

Effective communication in the workplace is integral to any successful business. Good communication skills give people an edge when applying for a position in the workplace.

This resource explores different types of communication and helps students develop skills necessary to succeed.

A Brief History of Communication is a YouTube video which will need to be shown by the teacher if access is unavailable to students.

Non-verbal communication

The website on non-verbal communication examines elements such as body language, eye contact, gestures and posture.

Written communication

When completing this activity students may identify more than one example of written communication.

To access and complete the communication quiz students will need to scroll half way down the web page.

The video on Phone etiquette training will need to be shown by the teacher if student access is unavailable.

The teacher will need to create an account with bubbl.us to complete this task and then export the work created by the students. This can then be emailed to the class, saved on Google Drive or Office 365 or placed on a student share drive.
