Barriers to Communication

Barriers1 to communication will affect the flow of information to potential customers and businesses. An effective communicator has the skills to recognise if and when there is a barrier2 to communication and how to overcome and resolve it. The most common barriers to effective communication include bias and stereotyping3, lack of empathy4, negative subtext, gender issues, individual differences, inconsistency, emotions, physical barriers, eg noise, inattention and pressure of time.
