At school: Teacher notes
Students will:
- view and interpret video clips showing aspects of school in the past
- view the 'Looking back' interview and discuss the memories and point of view expressed
- talk about their school and classroom
- compare learning in their classroom to the lessons in the 1880s classroom at the museum
- view slide shows showing school artefacts used 'now' and 'then'
- sort photographs of school artefacts into groups of 'old' or 'new'
- look closely for clues in photographs of school artefacts to find out more
- photograph their classroom and record descriptions to share with another school
- interview an older person about their school days.
