Literacy in the Science K-10 Syllabus - text version

The Science K-10 Syllabus incorporates Science and Technology K-6. The purposes for literacy are scientific ones. That is, to understand and evaluate, to use literacy to link information and ideas, to explain, to formulate questions and hypotheses, to draw conclusions and to construct evidence-based arguments. The modes of communication that are used in Science K-10 and Science and Technology K-6 (that is, the ways students demonstrate their knowledge of syllabus content) include the use of written, visual and digital forms of expression.
