Which fertiliser has the most affect on the growth of bitou?

Acacia longifolia is a native plant that grows on sand dunes. It is often replaced by bitou bush. It may be possible to help native plants outcompete bitou by adding fertiliser to the soil. It is important to know what will happen to the bitou when fertiliser is added.

You have two different fertilisers to test. Design an experiment to see which one produces the most plant growth in bitou bush. First decide your dependent and independent variables and the variables that you will need to control. In this case the two fertilisers will act as controls to each other and you may decide not to have a group of plants that have no fertiliser added. All other variables must be equal. This includes the pot and soil that you use, heat and light and the amount of water (controlled variables).
