Can bitou seedlings be destroyed by salt spray?

Bitou seedlings may be killed by salt spray. Your task is to design an experiment and choose the equipment you will need to investigate if bitou seedlings are destroyed by salt spray.

First decide your dependent and independent variables and the variables that you will need to control. In this case the independent variable will be plants that have been sprayed with sea water. As a control an equal number of plants could be spayed with tap-water. All other variables must be equal. This includes the pot and soil that you use, heat and light and the amount of water (controlled variables).
