Non-government organisations

Non-government organisations (NGO) are organisations that operate separate from the government, although some do receive funding from the government. Red Cross is an NGO that you might be familiar with. NGOs play an important role in Australian communities and internationally. Some of these existing NGOs may already be concerned with the same issue as you. Therefore It may useful to volunteer or join an existing organisation.
