Lobbying

Lobbying is attempting to influence the decisions made by the government. A lobbyist is a person who tries to influence legislation on behalf of a special interest group or a member of a lobby group. An example of a lobby group is the Women’s Electoral Lobby.

Lobbyists attempt to influence government decisions by taking civic action. This may be in the form of letter writing, emails and petitions.
