Contact the council

For local issues the best place to start is by contacting the local council. The local council is sometimes referred to as the local government as it is the second layer of government in New South Wales and it operates at local level.

At the New South Wales Government’s Department of Local Government web page you can find out who your local government is by using the Local Council Search or the Suburb Search. This website also has the address, phone, email and web page of all local governments in NSW.
