• raising awareness of the issue

• organising peaceful demonstrations

• applying public pressure.

It can be difficult to judge accurately how effective some of the actions utilised were. However, the action of raising awareness has been very successful. Think about how often climate change appears in the media or comes up in people’s conversations. Public pressure was also very successful at the Bali conference, this caused the United States of America to change their position.
