How do you know when you have found records for the selected veteran?

Search for Frederick Brightfield’s service record at the National Archives of Australia at The collection tab:

• select Popular research topics > Defence > Service records > World War I

• scroll down to NameSearch > select RecordSearch

• enter the name ‘Frederick Brightfield’ with the dates ‘1914 to 1920’

• click on ‘Search’ and select ‘Brightfield F C’

• select ‘View digital copy’ on the right to access the scanned service record.

Cross-reference the service number 1889 with the Australian War Memorial details already collected to confirm that this is the service record of Frederick Brightfield.
