Open the template (template.jpg) in the graphics program you want to use. Each of the squares in the template will be replaced with an image — use the same image in squares of the same or similar colour.
If you don’t want to use the template, open a new blank document with an image size of 800 x 800 pixels and (suggested) resolution of 200 pixels per inch.
Note: the template is useful when using a graphics program, such as Adobe Photoshop. For example, you can make use of Photoshop features to help you insert, adjust and align the segments of your design. However, you can also use the template as a guide to creating your montage in simple graphic programs such as Paint.
