Why we love Australia Written and illustrated by Parker, Layla, Emily, Phoebe, Asher, Charlotte, Nick, Henry, Amy and Jenna-Rose |

The snowy mountains have white, cold snow on them. They are full of snow. |
The rainforest is green, blue and brown. The trees reach into the white clouds. |
The hot fire burns up the trees, turning them orange and yellow. The grey smoke chokes the animals. The bushland is left black. |
The grass is green on the grasslands. Brown rocks sit in the middle of the grass. |
Water splashing and swaying in the deep gorge. Round trees stand at the top of the gateway. Tiny saplings march like an army. Little, brown rocks crumble down on the face of the gorge as it grows older. |
The rapids quickly jump down the river. The wind sways the grass from side to side. Rocks tumble into the shimmering water as a goanna dashes up the bank. The water splashes. Splat, splosh , splish! |
Lights are flashing in the massive city. The silver stars shine in the sky all through the night. The tall buildings rest on top of the sky. |
Tall, blue waves rolling quickly to the shore of the beach. Small scrub swaying slowly in the cool breeze. Swish, swish, swish. Large islands floating gently in the deep, clear water. Soft, white sand slowly burying footprints. |
The sea is as still as a statue until a whale breaches. It wriggles and waves. A big, curvy wave tumbles up the shore ahead of the black and white whale. Splish, splash, splosh. The tail of the whale hits the water as it dives again. |
The swaying seaweed sings as the fish swim by. The rainbow reef sinks into the sand. The colourful coral is as beautiful as a butterfly. |
