Student portfolios provide an opportunity for students to demonstrate their learning.
OneNote Class Notebook provides the opportunity for each student to develop a personal online portfolio which only you and the student can access. Here, students can compile evidence of their participation and learning.
Students will need assistance to organise their portfolios in a systematic manner so that the student and the teacher can access and find contents easily. Work with the students to make decisions about what should be included on their portfolio. These decisions should be recorded in the content library for student reference. You might wish to allocate time for students to review and update their portfolios. Regular feedback from the teacher will assist students to understand the importance of their portfolio.
For this resource, student portfolios might include:
-
writing, painting and photographs
-
video and/or audio recordings
-
reflections
-
records of participation in group and collaborative work.
