This resource is designed for use with the Stage 5 English 7-10 syllabus.

Students learn about: the use of variations within conventions of particular genres, including forms of poetry ... and how these variations address the composer’s purpose

In this resource, students have the opportunity to:

  • respond to a range of poems in print and online

  • synthesise ideas to clarify meanings

  • examine relationships between structure, language and text

  • use ICT to produce a response to a poem
