The lab

This section encourages students to carry out investigations using fair testing and develop skills in scientific investigation such as predicting, observing, collecting data, analysing and drawing conclusions.

Once at the lab there are several entry points that students can find by exploring the image with their mouse. To carry out the investigations it is necessary to purchase UV beads (addresses of suppliers are found in the resources area). Other areas look at how to do a scientific investigation and explain terms such as hypothesis, controlled variables, validity and a fair test.
