Agricultural weeds cost farmers billions of dollars a year. They are a threat to agricultural production. Weeds compete with and contaminate the crops. Livestock may be injured by weeds. Examples of agricultural weeds are serrated tussock, thistles, Paterson’s curse and blackberry.
