The Terracotta Warriors are now housed in a large hall which is about the size of three football fields. This enclosure has good ventilation and daylight conditions. Temperature and humidity monitoring systems help to preserve the statures that are more than 2000 years old. There are over 6000 warriors in Pit One. They stand, facing east, to protect the Emperor’s tomb.
