You need to select graphics that focus the attention of the audience on your article and add to the ideas and issues in the work.

Search these websites for graphics:

You can use Adobe Photoshop Elements or other image editing software to re-size and manipulate your graphics.


Searching for graphics

As you are browsing and collecting graphics, take note of:

  • What is portrayed? Look carefully at the foreground, middle ground and background.

  • What information is available about the graphic?

    • Who and what is in the graphic?

    • Who took the photo or created the illustration?

    • Where and when was it taken or produced?

  • What is the relationship between the graphic and the information?

  • How does the graphic reinforces the information?

Do not use images that may be subject to copyright.
