Create a quiz on indirect speech you can share with your classmates. You can do this using Microsoft Word or Adobe Captivate.
Start by composing 10 sentences using direct speech in a Microsoft Word document.
Share your Word document with your classmate via email or USB drive.
Ask your classmate to write the sentences in indirect speech. When they have completed this, check their work and give them a score out of ten.

When you have done this, open Captivate and select Blank project > set the Width to 980 and Height to 490 (to fit the laptop screen) > OK.
Choose Quiz menu > Question Slide > Short answer > Graded Question.
The New short answer question dialogue box will appear. Change the following:
In the Name section, type Rewrite the sentence in indirect speech.
Copy your first direct speech sentence from your Word document into the Question section.
Change Points to 1.
Type the answer or answers in the Acceptable Answer section, then click OK.
You can edit the font, size and colour of your slide once the question slide has been created.
Repeat steps 3 to 5 to add your 10 direct speech sentences.
When you have completed the questions, click on Preview and check your quiz. When you are happy with it, click on Publish.
Share you published quiz with your classmates via email or USB drive. How did they go?
