Using simplebooklet

Step 1: Access ‘Simple booklet’

  • In Google Drive click the red ‘New’ button

  • Click ‘More’

  • Click ‘Connect more apps’

  • Search for ‘simple booklet’

  • Click on the blue ‘Connect it’ button

  • Accept the conditions to allow it to access Google Drive

Step 2: Start a booklet

  • Back in Google Drive select ‘New’ and click ‘More’ again

  • This time you will have the option to choose ‘simple booklet’

  • On the Dashboard page click on the link BLANK BOOKLET

  • Choose a page size

  • Give it a title and summary

  • Skip the ‘Web address” option

  • On the right hand side of the screen in the top toolbar there is a save option

  • Choose to save your booklet in Google Drive

  • Next time you want to work on it open it in Google Drive

Step 3: Adding content to your booklet

  • All the options for editing your booklet are on the top of the page

  • If you click on “Text” an empty text box and toolbar pops up so you can type then change text size and colour

  • If you click on “Image” a box will come up allowing you to access saved files in your shared folder

  • If you are not going to print your booklet you can also add audio or video files

  • To add more pages click on the new page icon next to the top right hand corner of your booklet page

  • The ‘Pages’ menu will let you rearrange the order of your pages, delete one or change the background colour
