The design process is NOT LINEAR. That means that you will move backwards and forwards through the following steps.

In this first step you also need to go back and look at your original brainstorming notes.

• What have you learned?

• What is your exact idea?

• Do you need to add anything, change it or start over?

Don’t be afraid to make mistakes.

You will need to scrap ideas, even good ones, and you might realise a problem only after getting feedback. Go into this process prepared to be flexible.
