Look at the Earth Summit timeline to find what global action has occurred since 1961 through to expectations for Rio+20 in 2012.

Look in particular at Earth Summit - 1992 and find the main issues addressed.

Choose one of these issues and find one of the global award-winning schemes which has tried to make a difference in this area.

Make some summary notes (.doc 61kB) so that you can talk to people about how well the scheme worked in achieving change.

Talk to a member of your family, your teacher or your class.
