The Australian Bureau of Statistics provides the TableBuilder tool for creating tables, graphs and maps of census data. For example, you can download a spreadsheet to compare the number of children born to various age groups or examine the age distribution of each gender in your local area. Alternatively, you might like to use the data collected from your survey in task 2.

Copy the data into a frequency distribution table in a spreadsheet. Use the Microsoft Excel Recommended Charts tool to create various frequency histograms for the grouped data. View Microsoft's Create charts website if you are not sure how to create your graphs. Consider the effect of combining some of the groups. How does this affect your analysis?

Use Microsoft Word to design a brochure detailing the selected statistics for your local area. Remember to consider your audience – what will they need to know? Paste relevant graphs into the document before printing it.
