Create a diagram of EMR

Create an electromagnetic radiation diagram

Wave of decreasing wavelength

A wave of changing wavelength

Create your own diagram of electromagnetic radiation. Follow these steps:

  1. Copy and paste the above image of a wave into a new document in OneNote, Word, or Google Docs.

  2. Add information to your diagram to answer the following questions (use the interviews with Professor Gaensler as a guide)

    • What electromagnetic radiation (EMR) can we humans see and what EMR can’t we see?

    • Where might you position the different types of electromagnetic radiation on this wave of changing wavelength? Include radio waves, microwaves, infra red rays, visible light, ultraviolet light, X-rays, and gamma rays.

Need some help? Is there anything else you could add to your diagram? Conduct an internet image search for electromagnetic radiation using an image search engine such as Google images. Be sure to acknowledge the source of any images you use in your diagram.
