In small groups, select a scenario suggested in Task 2 or devise another practical application of trigonometry (eg measuring a height or horizontal distance in the playground). Consider how you might use tools such as the clinometer, trundle wheel and tape measure.
As a group create a presentation showing the process used to solve the practical problem. Follow these steps:
Take a series of photos of the steps the group used to solve to the trigonometry problem. Be sure to show any tools used in finding the solution. You can take photos using a laptop webcam or other digital camera. Rename your images with suitable file names. |

Use Adobe Photoshop Elements or other image editing software to edit and enhance your images. Add appropriate line markings and measurements. |
||
Use Adobe Fireworks, Powerpoint or Google Slides to create a slideshow showing the steps in your solution. Add text captions to aid your explanation. |
Use these marking guidelines (DOCX 24kB) to check your presentation.
